IBM Research Laboratory Rüschlikon

www.zurich.ibm.com www.zurich.ibm.com The IBM Research Laboratory has been in existence since 1956. It moved to Rüschlikon near Zürich in 1962. In addition to research in communication systems, computer sciences, science & technology and industrial solutions and services, the role of the institute is to maintain close contacts with partners from science and industry. The research laboratory employs about 300 people, up to 30 of whom are visiting scientists, as well as numerous postdocs, postgraduates working towards their doctorates, and students. The scientists in the research laboratory come from more than 20 countries. They are trained in computer science, mathematics, electrical engineering, physics and chemistry and often work in interdisciplinary teams. The laboratory is involved in more than 80 projects with European universities, the Swiss government and research institutes of industrial partners.
